As part of the participatory project “Mein Hausflur - (m)ein Museum” (My Hallway - My Museum) in the Berlin district of Moabit, ordinary hallways were transformed into extra-ordinary gallery spaces. Over the course of numerous weeks, residents used pictures, photos and texts to depict their daily lives. On “Open Hallway Days” the exhibitions were opened for curious neighbours. More than 80 people of different backgrounds were involved in the project and the final “tour” of the finished hallway galleries. Children and the homeless, migrants and retirees had the opportunity to encounter each other.
